More Than a Studio: A Second Haum

What if gathering could feel like coming home?
In a world that pedestals ‘bigger, better, faster’ - creating burnout, “hustle culture,” and hyper-individualism, even in spaces of wellness, we wanted to build something different. A space that wasn’t just about workouts and trends - but about wholeness, warmth, and what happens when people show up real.
Haumbody Is A Play On Two Words
HOMEBODY
The kind of person who knows that rest is a ritual and that the coolest kind of chillin’ is done barefoot, in relaxed clothing, and without armor.
AUM (or OM)
the primordial sound of creation, consciousness, and connection often chanted at the end (and sometimes, beginning) of a yoga class.
MEANING OF AN OPEN ENSO (ZEN) CIRCLE
An incomplete or open Enso circle, symbolizes the interconnectedness of all things and the journey towards spiritual awakening. An open circle allows for growth and development, reflecting the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, the beauty of imperfection.
The three stones in the center of the Enso circle represent our core values: deep care, leadership, & presence.

Our Values
Leadership Belongs To All Of Us.
True leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about showing up with integrity, presence, and the courage to be unarmoured. Through our presence and actions, we shape the culture around us, setting the standard for growth, compassion, and accountability within our community. At Haumbody Sanctuary, we believe leadership is rooted in inclusivity, vulnerability, and the commitment to healing—both within ourselves and our communities.
Quality And Standards Reflect Deep Care.
From the moment you walk through our doors to the classes you join and the drinks you savor, you will feel our deep care. Every detail—our offerings, atmosphere, and service—reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence. Haumbody Sanctuary is designed to nourish your body, mind, and spirit in every experience.
Presence is the practice.
True well-being comes from an integrative, mindful approach; it’s about balance, connection, and the ability to fully experience life with presence, inquiry, and joy. At Haumbody Sanctuary, we infuse intention in every breath, bite, and bond. We believe this is the foundation for creating a truly fulfilled life.

Our Vision
Looking towards the future, while staying in the present. Haumbody Sanctuary envisions a world where deep healing and joyful connection coexist. We aspire to redefine social spaces - creating environments that cultivate true presence and restoration for the nervous system; along with depth, playfulness, and integrity in the journey of mindbody education.
Our Mission
At Haumbody Sanctuary, we are committed to setting a new standard for conscious gathering, where quality, integrity, and nervous system healing are woven into every detail, from our yoga and movement offerings to the social lounge experience. Our mission is to uplift and inspire every guest to find their way back to a deep sense of home within themselves.

Meet Our Founders
Amber and Peter didn’t just dream up Haumbody Sanctuary - they lived the journey that made it possible.
Amber brings two decades in the wellness world, from cooking as a healing-food private chef in NYC to guiding students as a yoga teacher and holistic health counselor. For her, health has always been the truest form of wealth. A lifelong solopreneur with a background in advertising and public relations, she knows what it takes to build something meaningful from the ground up.
Peter’s roots trace back to Venezuela, where he grew up in his parents’ Chinese restaurant and discovered how food brings people together. With a PhD in Engineering, an MBA, and a knack for numbers, he’s as comfortable in the world of spreadsheets as he is behind the kitchen counter.
Together - heart and hustle, creativity and precision - Amber and Peter are the perfect pair to steward a space where community, wellness, and connection thrive.
Meet The Team
Get to know the team members that make our community feel like a home.
At Haumbody Sanctuary, we’re devoted to offering yoga that’s not just high quality, but deeply human. Our teachers are a diverse, highly trained crew who teach off the mat and in the moment, guiding based on what they actually see in the room - not just what’s in the sequence.
With a wide range of class styles and a depth of experience across the team, we’re here to support your practice - whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or have been on this journey for decades.
Amber Campion
Co-Founder of Haumbody Sanctuary, Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Certified Bodyworker, E-RYT 500
-
Amber Campion is an internationally recognized embodiment educator, yoga teacher trainer, and author with over two decades of experience in nervous system regulation, emotional intelligence, and mind-body leadership.
Diagnosed with epilepsy as a child, Amber experienced the fragility of control early in life. By age 15, doctors told her she no longer had the condition - an ending that became a beginning. That lived experience left her with a lifelong devotion to resilience, presence, and the inner resources that guide true empowerment.
Before teaching yoga, Amber competed in swimming and rowing, later training in martial arts (Capoeira, Aikido, MMA) and studying Thai massage, Qi Gong, and biomechanics - disciplines that cultivated rhythm, adaptability, and embodied awareness.
Her teaching journey began in New York City with The Lineage Project, working with at-risk and incarcerated youth. This trauma-informed work, along with her multidisciplinary studies, inspired her signature method, Dynamic Release Method™ (DRM: Flow) - a blend of breathwork, Qigong-inspired movement, mindfulness, and myofascial release to restore balance and awaken presence.
Amber is the founder of Embody Academy, home of Boundless, a 200/300-hour yoga teacher training centering nervous system regulation as the foundation of teaching and leadership. She is also the author of Tiny Rituals: 108 Poems to Remember Ourselves as Holy, Whole, and Wise, with work featured in Thrive Global, Thought Catalog, and more. Her teaching has taken her across four continents, and today she co-leads Haumbody Sanctuary with her husband, a community devoted to movement, mindfulness, and meaningful connection.

Co-Founder of Haumbody Sanctuary, Certified Crossfit Coach, RYT 200
-
Peter Lam is the co-founder of Haumbody Sanctuary, a certified CrossFit Level 1 coach, yoga teacher, and wellness entrepreneur with a passion for helping others feel strong, grounded, and fully alive.
After completing the 200-hour Boundless Yoga Teacher Training under Amber’s guidance, Peter discovered a new path - one that blended his love of movement with a desire to lead from the heart. He left behind a successful career as a medical device engineer to pursue a more embodied life rooted in community, creativity, and purpose.
Peter went on to deepen his training, completing his CrossFit Level 1 certification and an 80-hour Yoga Sculpt teacher training. His grounded classes reflect a unique fusion of fitness and mindfulness - integrating breath, form, and functional strength in a way that builds both resilience and clarity. As a CrossFit coach, he believes in the power of pushing limits; as a yoga teacher, he believes in doing so without losing yourself in the process.
Growing up in his parents’ Chinese restaurant in Venezuela, Peter developed a lifelong love for cooking. Today, he’s the chef behind the food at Haumbody’s lounge - bringing intention, nutrition, and flavor to every nourishing bite. For Peter, wellness isn’t just a workout - it’s a way of life.
